This chapter presents the latest extension of the JaCaMo framework with exceptions and accountability. Unlike previous works, this proposal combines both mechanisms within a single cohesive framework, providing developers with a comprehensive toolset for improving system robustness. Methodologically, the contribution clarifies the complementary objectives and functionalities of exceptions and accountability, offering practical guidance on when and how to employ each one. Exceptions are primarily design-time mechanisms aimed at addressing classes of abnormal situations, whereas accountability serves as a runtime mechanism to prevent the occurrence of such anomalies. The chapter includes a detailed review of practical examples, illustrating the benefits of the new constructs from a tool utilization perspective. By doing so, it delivers a practical reference for JaCaMo developers, highlighting how the extension enhances the robustness and reliability of multi-agent systems.

Abstract
By doing so, it delivers a practical reference for JaCaMo developers, highlighting how the extension enhances the robustness and reliability of multi-agent systems.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
