Abstract
Presenting a definition of didactic unit of translation, the specific needs of university students of Spanish language in Italy are taken into consideration. Once the general characteristics of the DUT have been established, the partial objectives are defined, as well as the flexible role of the teacher and students, and some aspects concerning the profession of the translator. In the application of the DUT the phases of the process which lead to the final result are taken into account, focusing above all on the research phase and on the correct use of the resources and materials available to the translator. The principal aim, however, is that of helping the students develop, apart from the competences which can be circumscribed to the translation skill, the critical spirit necessary to understand and face the translation process in respect of the common good which is language and the culture of which the former is an expressionI documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
