The book talks about music education practice in Italy recovering the recent history and comparing it with that of some foreign countries. We describe the most significant and best practices in particular, that has developed in the Aosta Valley in the last ten years. The key to identify plants and enhances organizational learning and the choices inspired by new principles, they see music in a language accessible to all, rooted in the life of every man, capable of giving shape to breath and emotions and affections, mestizo cultures and shorten the distances between the diversity. On the one hand there is uncertain about the role and value of academic teaching, identify with the other modes of learning used in informal contexts, including those involved in popular music, to imagine a future in music schools such as is possible to reconcile the cultivation of excellence, offering educational and methodological inclusive, open and accessible. Everyone can live collective experiences of musical practice and appreciate the sense of cooperation and unity that is exercised, while anyone can find and nurture their vocation with the innate qualities available without having to isolate an Olympian gold with a few other elected officials. "El Sistema" by Jose Antonio Abreu is an example of how music can become a tool to change the lives not only of an individual, but of an entire people, with the blossoms of the individuality and raising dust hundreds of thousands of joyful kids the road. In Italy the music could do much to redeem its young by modern, advanced poverty.
Il volume fa il punto sull'istruzione musicale pratica in Italia recuperandone la storia recente e comparandola con quella di alcuni paesi esteri. Si descrivono le buone prassi più significative e una in particolare, che si è sviluppata in Valle d'Aosta negli ultimi dieci anni. La chiave di lettura individua e valorizza gli impianti organizzativi e le scelte didattiche ispirate da principii nuovi, che vedono nella musica un linguaggio accessibile a tutti, radicato nella vita di ogni uomo, capace di dare respiro e forma a emozioni e affetti, di meticciare culture e accorciare le distanze tra le diversità. Da una parte ci s'interroga sul ruolo e il valore degli insegnamenti accademici, dall'altra s'identificano le modalità di apprendimento in uso nei contesti informali, tra chi si occupa di musica popolare, per immaginare un futuro delle scuole di musica nel quali sia possibile conciliare la coltivazione delle eccellenze con un'offerta didattica e metodologica inclusiva, aperta e accessibile. Tutti possono vivere esperienze collettive di pratica musicale e apprezzare il senso di cooperazione e di unità che si esercita, nel contempo ciascuno può ritrovarsi e coltivare la propria vocazione con le qualità innate di cui dispone senza doversi isolare in un olimpo dorato con pochi altri eletti. "El Sistema" di José Antonio Abreu rappresenta un esempio di come la musica possa diventare uno strumento per cambiare la vita non solo di un individuo, ma di un popolo intero, facendo fiorire le individualità e sollevando dalla polvere centinaia di migliaia di gioiosi ragazzi di strada. In Italia la musica potrebbe fare molto per riscattare i suoi giovani dalle moderne, evolute povertà.
