The chapter discusses social inequalities structure after the age of organized capitalism and, in particular, the question of the difficulty of the middle classes to reproduce their social-economic status. In this sense, it address the thesis of the crisis of middle class society in the current post-Fordist capitalism. It analyzes the dinamic conditions of intermediate employment positions in Italy and the respective new strategies of the middle classes members to reproduce their position in the face of crisis.
