The issue of the local development of marginal areas is particularly acute in the EUSALP Alpine macro-region. This is where the European strategy and development measures for marginal areas find their application. The lower valley on the border between Valle d’Aosta and Piedmont experienced significant manufacturing development until the 1970s. It has therefore suffered a gradual contraction in the number of workers in the secondary sector and currently stands as a critical area together with the Gran Paradiso area. The redevelopment proposal to promote local development is called Cammino Balteo, a project of alternative tourism aiming at consolidating local presence and jobs. We examine the project and analyse the criticalities and problems that have emerged to date.

Abstract
We examine the project and analyse the criticalities and problems that have emerged to date.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
