The aim of this article is to identify the factors that have influenced the adoption of e-learning systems by Italian universities during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, we tried to verify how the perceived usefulness and ease of use of e-learning platforms have influenced teachers' teaching and university students' learning. A statistical methodological approach characterised by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was adopted. The data was collected through the online dissemination of a survey involving students and teachers. The results of the survey among students show the effectiveness and usefulness of e-learning in general as a contingent event. On the other hand, from the data of teachers, latent dimensions related to the use of e-learning and platforms emerge.

Abstract
The aim of this article is to identify the factors that have influenced the adoption of e-learning systems by Italian universities during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, we tried to verify how the perceived usefulness and ease of use of e-learning platforms have influenced teachers' teaching and university students' learning. A statistical methodological approach characterised by exploratory factor analysis (EFA) was adopted. The data was collected through the online dissemination of a survey involving students and teachers. The results of the survey among students show the effectiveness and usefulness of e-learning in general as a contingent event. On the other hand, from the data of teachers, latent dimensions related to the use of e-learning and platforms emerge.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
