The essay describes the meaning in the Italian pedagogical horizon of the terms education, formation and education, declining their value in relation to the growth and development of the human person in all its dimensions: from cultural to social, moral and cognitive ones. The essay addresses these issues from the standpoint of a pedagogy intended as a unitary science of education and formation, a composite knowledge in which theory and practice cohabit in a delicate and productive epistemological balance.
Il saggio descrive la valenza assunta nell’orizzonte pedagogico italiano dei termini educazione, formazione ed istruzione declinando il loro valore in relazione alla crescita ed allo sviluppo della persona umana in tutte le sue dimensioni: da quelle culturali a quelle sociali, morali e cognitive. Il saggio affronta tali questioni nell’ottica di una pedagogia intesa quale scienza unitaria dell’educazione e della formazione, un sapere composito in cui convivono dialetticamente teoria e prassi in un delicato quanto produttivo equilibrio epistemologico.
