On the basis of the analysis of literature on validity in action research (Eden e Huxham, 1996; Kemmis e McTaggart, 2005; Reason, 2006; Reason e Bradbury, 2001) we propose this statement: validity is a product of a given academic community. To face the issue of validity in action research means to deeply investigate the epistemological premises that orient the researcher’s methodological choices. Following from this, the paper analyses ideas of validity of action research. Classic contributions from neopositivism, constructivism, postmodernism and participatory approaches are analysed according to: scientific paradigms and idea of validity. In the conclusions we propose our point of view concerning the issue of validity in action research.

Abstract
In the conclusions we propose our point of view concerning the issue of validity in action research.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
