SUMMARY: The development of spa resorts in the Aosta Valley: from the living to care for healthy holiday. - The essay describes the changes in the Italian thermal sector, mainly with reference to Aosta Valley. The analysis considers in particular the discovery of the sources for the treatment of dermatological diseases and respiratory system, as well as the innovation related to health and wellness, with the evolution and development of two major spaces: Pré-Saint-Didier located in the upper Valley, and Saint Vincent located in the lower Valley. The analysis moves within a geo-economic approach, presenting innovative measures aimed at rise the quality of the spa facilities and indicate possible strategies for creation of a local touring system.
