As part of its action for fighting climate change, the EU aims to achieve the goal of climate neutrality, i.e. a situation where greenhouse gas emissions and absorptions are in balance. This implies significant changes in the economy, which could lead to job losses if not supported by proper initiatives. This is the background to the creation of the just transition mechanism, aimed at mobilising financial resources for the EU regions and economic sectors most affected by the transition to a green economy. This article provides an analysis of the three pillars that constitute it, identifying some critical points.

Abstract
As part of its action for fighting climate change, the EU aims to achieve the goal of climate neutrality, i.e. a situation where greenhouse gas emissions and absorptions are in balance. This implies significant changes in the economy, which could lead to job losses if not supported by proper initiatives. This is the background to the creation of the just transition mechanism, aimed at mobilising financial resources for the EU regions and economic sectors most affected by the transition to a green economy. This article provides an analysis of the three pillars that constitute it, identifying some critical points.File in questo prodotto:
