Le espressioni idiomatiche come problema lessicografico, con particolare riferimento al confronto interlinguistico italiano-tedesco

I want here to consider the two problems (order and equivalence) whose solution can best contribute to an improvement of the phraseology in the bilingual dictionaries now currently used. These are two fundamental problems in the treatment of idioms, both because idioms are lexical unities composed of more than one word and because their global meaning is different from the sum of the meanings of the single elements by which they are formed. I do not consider here other questions, such as the choice of the corpus, the form of quotation and the variants - which are too specific or too theoretic for a public not only composed of Germanists.
